Care for the Homeless

This newly constructed purpose-built shelter will serve 200 homeless adult men in the Westchester Square area of the Bronx to be operated by Care for the Homeless. The shelter will include state-of-the-art recreation space, a computer lab, a lounge area with TV and board games, and a large dining space where residents will receive three meals per day plus snacks throughout the day. Residents will have access to on-site physical and mental health care services provided by Care for the Homeless which will provide services for residents and will employ direct care staff including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, case managers, housing specialists and recreation coordinators. The building is 3 stories and will be provided with emergency generators for life-safety building services. The total building area is approximately 38,000 sf. The building expects its TCO during the summer of 2024 with occupancy in early fall of 2024
